i was once some one's daughter,
held tightly against protective bosoms,
feed dreams that seem
more than a million miles away...
i have aged laying on my back
traveled rail tracks;
snatched from tribal familiar..
stolen before i ever knew my name.
they tattooed highways and bi-ways,
along my veins,
i human cargo,
modernized slave...
i was once some one's daughter.....
